Looking at videos of mods for TES:IV and a video had one of the songs from Presearing. It brought back memories and actually made me smile (I don't know if thats sad or not

). I haven't played this game in about a year but damn... I can't wait for GW2 to come out!

Yeah, that music is amazing. Actually got all of it, around like 5-6 hours or so I believe. What kind of mods were you looking for?

I actually play a lot of Morrowind everynow and then, someone was able to compile of a zip of Guild Wars music to be used in the Morrowind areas. It really fit with the game well.

That's some good thinking, I must say Morrowind had a really well in-depth story line compared to Oblivion. Honestly if they just updated the graphics and fixed some of the fighting style it would be one of the best games of this time. I enjoyed how you actually had to search for areas, unlike th pointer. And the transportation services was nice, didn't like the fast travel in Oblivion.

I play Oblivion only for the mods and the polished interface and mechanics. But vanilla Oblivion is nowhere near the position of Morrowind.

Morrowind is still to this day one of the major games that has had an impact on my gaming life. Amazing story, creative fantasy, some of Jeremy Soule's most ear piercing pieces. It's just too much to cover

Edit: By the way, I was always wondering if it doesn't breach any copyright to make Guild Wars armors in Oblivion.

I agree, you could easily get deeply into the world of Morrowind. With all different terrain. Adventuring was so much more interesting, since you couldn't just fast travel out when you were low on items or health. And you actually had to read and use the compass and check your surroundings to know where you had to go. They say there coming out with a TES:V this year. I'm sure you could make the armor in there though, people have it from other games and movies such as the Tyreal from Diablo and Saurons for LOTR.

Funny, I picked up Morrowind for the Xbox(original) back in the day and I literally played it for 20 mins before tossing it in my attic, only to be later thrown away.

It started unmercifully slow for me and I had no effing clue where I going or headed. Not saying it was a bad game, because it obviously wasn't from reviews and whatnot; it was just not the Elder Scrolls game for me.

The beginning of the game is pretty slow, but it takes a bit getting use to it. I'm sure everyone was clueless. They basic give you a direction and ask you to find your own way. if your on PC there's a good amount of mods that can help further advance the whole gameplay style making the game much more interesting.

Haha I think a mod on TESNexus is ranked in the top 5 mods over there. I kind of went for the immersion type of gameplay. Updated the graphics with the better environment and water mods. Got a protalble bed, and made the weapons strornger, you didn't have to hit a enemy 60 times to die at a higher level :/. Also the posture mod, I hated how the stand in vanilla with there hunchback.

Damn, I feel like reinstalling the game now haha.

I love downloading some of the armor packs (which actually do require the HGEC mod), new houses, face imports (as vanilla Oblivion has horrid faces and a horrible random face generator), and spell mods.

But when it comes to Morrowind, my god, its just a great game altogether. There are few games that stretch the limits of the RPG concept. Morrowind has hours upon hours of content, many different ways to play through the game, and overall it is enjoyable even without the mods. The only things that I didn't like in Morrowind were maybe the female faces, but with Bloodmoon you get some normal female faces for Nords.

Morrowind isn't some game that you can just play through without reading the story. Because of it's travel system that some lazy people will criticize, it made you learn the ingame world. Chances were whenever you got to a new city for the first time you were so lost that you had to spend a few minutes circling around to find your way. I loved and hated that feeling so much, but I look back on it and I really have to appreciate it. It's as close to RPG as it gets. It tests your limits to the max.

Especially in Vivec, that place was like a maze. although I really enjoyed the levitation quest where you had to go into the flying prison.
